I love SD!

I do love South Dakota, simply because my family is here, but come on people would we really live here if our family wasn't here? I'm gonna say No for today at least. This is a beautiful safe place to live or so I think. This past week we had awesome weather Monday- Wednesday I am talking 80 Degrees and it went down hill from there... Today there is still snow on the ground and I am irritated to say the least!

This past week was kind of like Wife Swap at my house. I worked up at the apartments for my mom while she took a class and Josh got the privilege of being a stay at home dad! It was so nice Brady got to be outside while he did one vehicle clean up a day! They seemed to have a really good time. I'm sure more so Brady because he got to do whatever and although Josh got to use his new pressure washer I think he was re-thinking this whole idea, only because two days later it was a lost cause! It was raining by Thursday and snowing by Friday! The vehicles did look amazing while it lasted!

Haley is good. Soccer started the middle of the month and we have only had two practices and one game because this stinkin weather keeps ruining everything! The fields are too wet to play on and it is just a little too chilly! On Saturday Haley got to watch me fix Kortney's hair and get in her pretty dress for Prom. She was loving it and had so many questions about this whole Prom Deal, and I learned it is sort of hard to explain! Then Sunday we headed up to grandma's to make some cookies and wrestle with all the boys!

Brady is a hand full these last couple of days. He has learned to argue with me about everything. The most annoying one is you have to take a bath! I don't want to take bath mom, is the usual response, he says tomorrow mom. Needless to say I take him kicking and screaming, but once he is in its all fine! I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing problem, I don't want to have the stinky kid!

Josh and I are good. We are looking forward to summer. Barbeque's and good weather is what we need right now! Green grass for Josh to mow and nicer weather for me so I cant plant some flowers! We are thinking about a little vacation to, nothing to major just a visit to a Zoo or something fun for the kids. We are always thinking about this a whole family camping deal... that is still something I am a little uneasy about. It just seems weird to want to set up a tent so we can sleep outside with bugs! I am going to put a silly video of Brady on here, he is playing in the bathroom brushing his teeth and we talk about his black eye a little (which by the way was an accident he smoked the corner of the coffee table).
Till next time!

Snow is almost gone....for now at least!

Hey all! Hope everyone had a very nice Easter. It was pretty low key around here. We did manage to hide some eggs in the snow for the kids to find. They had a pretty good time, we put on boots and heavy jackets and headed outside! The weather was so nice a couple of days this week and let me tell you that was exactly what we needed. We played outside all day Monday and Tuesday, everything is so much more fun outside even if you are just collecting rocks!

Haley is good. She had a four day weekend and it is just too long for her. She needs constant stimulation and I can only entertain her so long... Back to school though for her. She seems to be doing very well and her confidence seems to be through the roof! She had her first soccer practice on Tuesday, ironically almost the same team as last season so it is nice the girls don't have to get to know each other all over. She is pretty pumped about playing again this season. I watch her and not to brag but she is just a natural! She is going to do awesome this season I just know it!

Brady is good. He loves playing outside so these last few days have been right up his ally! We went to the park the other day and played with Alex. Its so nice for him to have someone his age to meet up and play with once a week and they get along so well, you know other than those little disagreements kids will have. He is going to go to the batting cages with Josh on Saturday, we will see how that goes, but he has been asking to go to baseball since Josh got back into the swing of things and he finally gave in so it will be a nice little break for me...no wait Haley has a soccer game!

Josh and I are good. We need to get rid of the kids for a night pretty soon. It so easy to get lost in your kids and you forget why you fell in love as silly as that may sound. So mom and grandma if you are reading this I would like to schedule this asap! I am going to get going but hope everyone has a good day! Till next time!

Cabin Fever!!

Well we were once again couped up all weekend! This is the third time...right? I don't know how much more of this white stuff I can take. I am sure allot of people who live around here feel the same way so I know I'm not alone in the fight! Its fun for about the first two hours but then you run out of things to and then what...? I can only watch so much TV! Don't get me wrong as much as I love the Noggin Channel (kids channel for those of you who don't get to enjoy it) I can only take so much Wow Wow Wubbzy and Max and Ruby are starting to get on my nerves!!

The kids are good though. The Wii was life saver that is until they were doing the boxing game and thought it would be more fun to beat on each other... We did manage to get outside a few times after the wind died down and shovel a little bit with Josh. It was such a bummer we only had one shovel and two little ones for the kids in the garage, just broke my heart that I couldn't help!! Ha ha a little sarcasm for ya there! Josh is pretty sure he could go without shoveling till next winter! We went to grab some lunch and he could barely sit long enough his back was bugging him so bad! But keep in mind if you are feeling bad for him I had to do all the shoveling myself last winter!!

Going to keep this one short but I did throw in some picture of the all the beautiful snow! Hope you are all doing well and those of you who live here made it through without poking any ones eyeballs out! I was really close...thought about locking them all outside but my conscious got the best of me! Till next time...
