OMG...I am such a slacker!!
Well hmm let me see here I haven't posted a blog since summer. So needless to say we have been busy...so busy I couldn't take time and fill you all in on those all too exciting weekly happenings. So here you go I am going to do my best to try and fill you in on what I can remember up until now!
Haley has been really good. She turned 8 this summer and we celebrated with the what has kinda become a tradition of having a "bouncy house", we had a good time except for the rain, we could have totally done without the rain. She started the 2nd grade this year. She is in a class with a teacher she had for reading last year, so it wasn't hard for her to get adjusted at all and knowing she really liked this teacher last year was a bonus. She played fall soccer and was one of the best little players out there! Now she is looking forward to Halloween, she is going to be a snow princess which could be totally fitting but who knows what the weather around here is going to be like!
Brady is just Brady! He turned 3 this summer and whoever said it was the terrible two's totally got that wrong I would have to say 3 is far worse than 2. Not I am not saying he is a little trouble maker, but he sure isn't as passive as he used to be. His new interest seems to be playing games on the computer and he is surprisingly good at just about all of them. He still loves the Transformers and what do you know he can start the movie himself too! Other than that he and I usually spend most mornings downstairs exercising (well he actually usually just makes a huge mess while I exercise) and playing.
Josh is swell. He turned 30th a couple of weeks ago. I would have to say this might have been one of the first birthdays that he had a hard time with. Now he wont tell ya that but I could tell... that or 30 was the new excuse for everything like "grab me some more soda, I cant get up I'm getting too old." Football season also started, which has gotten off to a pretty depressing start. I would have to say the kids and I usually like to try and have plans when the Raider games are on, I don't want the kids to have to listen to that kind of language! Oh and he will be going to Dubai this month for the Air Show, should be a pretty good experience for him. Then he will be home for a few days and then plans on taking off with a buddy for the Thanksgiving Day football game is Dallas. Lucky Guy!
As for me, I am good. I'm sure not ready for this cold weather. It seems to be having a pretty serious affect on my mood lately. I need to snap out of that I know for sure! Working on it. The only other news I have is we started attending church on a regular basis, which is a pretty big deal. I think it is going to be good for the kids and definitely couldn't hurt Josh and I. Its good to have God on your side! Other than that its the usually day in and day out kinda stuff that keeps me busy! I realize now that this was a pretty weak attempt at trying to fill you in on the past several months but you have to take what you can get at this point! I cant even remember what I wore yesterday!
Hope you all are well! I will try and post more than once I year, promise you that!

Summer is in full swing here!!
Needless to say I am pitiful at this... I think about sitting down and blogging every once in a while but never seem to follow through. I am going to today though, try and fill you in on what has been happening in our little world. Yeah and when I say try this might be hard because I cant even remember what we did last week!

Well I guess we will start with Haley as usual. She finished up 1st grade this year and proud to say we will have a second grader next year. She still struggles with reading a little but I guess it doesn't come naturally to everyone. So we put her in a little summer Reading program which actually turned out to be more science based, which is fun for her to read, write, and learn about something as opposed to just reading about it. She enjoys this for the most part, but would much rather be at the pool or the park than in a classroom, but these are the little things I do to try and help her. We are going to sign her up for fall soccer and that is something she is super excited about. Other than school, the pool, and the park she has been keeping herself busy playing with friends and running the neighborhood!
Brady is good. He is growing up so fast seems like I blinked and he's off and going. Sneaking outside to play with the neighbors and just being a boy I guess. He is supposed to be napping and this seems to be our biggest battle lately. He don't seem to understand how much his mom needs an hour or two of solitude! Oh well just one more reason I think he is growing up to fast. He and Haley both have birthdays next month and that seems to be all I can think about, 8 and 3 wow!! He has also been enjoying going down to the ball fields and running around and coming home with a sugar high.
Josh is good as well. He sewed on his Tech stripe the 1st of the month. Nice to know all that studying payed off for him. He has been playing ball and Friday's and playing in tournaments on the weekends. He is doesn't bounce back the way he used to and if often tired and sore the following 2 days! Not much else to report on him!
As for me the usual day in and day out slave labor! Just messin! I've just been trying to enjoy my kids and taking advantage of the weather. Whether we are just playing at home in the garage or out at the lake it has been a nice summer. The kids are at those ages where is pretty easy to do whatever and as long as everyone is happy it makes for a nice day! My birthday is next week and like I said having kids that will be 8 and 3 still boggles my mind and to say I am 27 makes me feel even older not sure why I care and maybe I don't... still haven't decided!
As for all of you, I hope everyone is having a nice summer and enjoying it as much as we are.
Till next time (and please don't hold your breath) Take Care!

Sunny days!!
Just quick little blog here! I know I have been neglecting this whole blog deal. I have a really good excuse though... the weather has been so nice! We have been outside allot. The last couple days especially. After Brady and I drop off Haley we basically play outside all day! I even let him skip his nap yesterday, which by the way wasn't a good idea! I even took the kids to the pool yesterday! It was a pretty good time. I am still trying to get Brady to come into the pool, he would much rather play with the hose than get in the pool but whatever! We are coming down to the last couple of make-up soccer games for Haley, while the softball season for Josh is just taking off.

It looks allot like summer around here the last few days. The grass is so green and Josh has had to mow a few times already. I can tell this isn't his favorite thing to do, but when is all finished it looks so nice. I have even planted my flower pots. They look pretty super cute. That whole experience was quite a mess. I let Brady and Haley help me. Haley is really good at this and it about as particular as I am. Brady on the other hand I think got more dirt on the driveway than in the pots but it was fun. We have been riding bikes and playing in the sandbox. Using lots of sunscreen!
There is still allot of talk about camping or maybe a little weekend getaway in the works but we will have to see how that all pans out! I've got to get going though, sorry this is so short. Brady is ready to get back outside! Hope everyone is doing well and having nice weather like we are!
I will write soon...

I love SD!
I do love South Dakota, simply because my family is here, but come on people would we really live here if our family wasn't here? I'm gonna say No for today at least. This is a beautiful safe place to live or so I think. This past week we had awesome weather Monday- Wednesday I am talking 80 Degrees and it went down hill from there... Today there is still snow on the ground and I am irritated to say the least!

This past week was kind of like Wife Swap at my house. I worked up at the apartments for my mom while she took a class and Josh got the privilege of being a stay at home dad! It was so nice Brady got to be outside while he did one vehicle clean up a day! They seemed to have a really good time. I'm sure more so Brady because he got to do whatever and although Josh got to use his new pressure washer I think he was re-thinking this whole idea, only because two days later it was a lost cause! It was raining by Thursday and snowing by Friday! The vehicles did look amazing while it lasted!
Haley is good. Soccer started the middle of the month and we have only had two practices and one game because this stinkin weather keeps ruining everything! The fields are too wet to play on and it is just a little too chilly! On Saturday Haley got to watch me fix Kortney's hair and get in her pretty dress for Prom. She was loving it and had so many questions about this whole Prom Deal, and I learned it is sort of hard to explain! Then Sunday we headed up to grandma's to make some cookies and wrestle with all the boys!
Brady is a hand full these last couple of days. He has learned to argue with me about everything. The most annoying one is you have to take a bath! I don't want to take bath mom, is the usual response, he says tomorrow mom. Needless to say I take him kicking and screaming, but once he is in its all fine! I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing problem, I don't want to have the stinky kid!
Josh and I are good. We are looking forward to summer. Barbeque's and good weather is what we need right now! Green grass for Josh to mow and nicer weather for me so I cant plant some flowers! We are thinking about a little vacation to, nothing to major just a visit to a Zoo or something fun for the kids. We are always thinking about this a whole family camping deal... that is still something I am a little uneasy about. It just seems weird to want to set up a tent so we can sleep outside with bugs! I am going to put a silly video of Brady on here, he is playing in the bathroom brushing his teeth and we talk about his black eye a little (which by the way was an accident he smoked the corner of the coffee table).
Till next time!
Till next time!

Snow is almost gone....for now at least!
Hey all! Hope everyone had a very nice Easter. It was pretty low key around here. We did manage to hide some eggs in the snow for the kids to find. They had a pretty good time, we put on boots and heavy jackets and headed outside! The weather was so nice a couple of days this week and let me tell you that was exactly what we needed. We played outside all day Monday and Tuesday, everything is so much more fun outside even if you are just collecting rocks!

Haley is good. She had a four day weekend and it is just too long for her. She needs constant stimulation and I can only entertain her so long... Back to school though for her. She seems to be doing very well and her confidence seems to be through the roof! She had her first soccer practice on Tuesday, ironically almost the same team as last season so it is nice the girls don't have to get to know each other all over. She is pretty pumped about playing again this season. I watch her and not to brag but she is just a natural! She is going to do awesome this season I just know it!
Brady is good. He loves playing outside so these last few days have been right up his ally! We went to the park the other day and played with Alex. Its so nice for him to have someone his age to meet up and play with once a week and they get along so well, you know other than those little disagreements kids will have. He is going to go to the batting cages with Josh on Saturday, we will see how that goes, but he has been asking to go to baseball since Josh got back into the swing of things and he finally gave in so it will be a nice little break for me...no wait Haley has a soccer game!
Josh and I are good. We need to get rid of the kids for a night pretty soon. It so easy to get lost in your kids and you forget why you fell in love as silly as that may sound. So mom and grandma if you are reading this I would like to schedule this asap! I am going to get going but hope everyone has a good day! Till next time!
